* 60 subjects were treated with Juvéderm® VOLBELLA in the peri-oral area. Follow-up assessments were carried out at 1, 3, 6, 9, and 12 months. Primary effectiveness endpoint: Month 3 responder rate on the 4-point Lip Fullness Scale (LFS) of ≥40% and statistically >0%, where responders improved ≥ 1 point from baseline on the investigator’s assessment of LFS. This includes patients who received repeat treatment. In the study, 60 patients received initial treatment overall and 15 patients received top-up treatment at 2 weeks. If at any time point at or after the 6-month visit the investigator determined that the patient’s LFS score had returned to baseline, the investigator could perform a repeat treatment prior to exiting the patient from the study. At follow-up, subjects assessed lip fullness goal achievement, the look and feel of their lips, and their satisfaction with the effects of treatment. There were no severe or serious events related to treatment.5

§ 62 subjects were enrolled in this one-month, prospective, open-label, multicenter, observational post-market study in Germany. Primary endpoints were satisfaction with improvement, look and feel of the lips, assessed by subject and physician at first visit and 4 weeks post-treatment for evaluation for the short term enhancement aesthetic impact of treatment of the lips or correction of asymmetry of the lips. The primary endpoints defined were patient satisfaction with improvement in lips and satisfaction with the natural look and feel of lips immediately after injection and at the follow-up visit within 4 weeks posttreatment. The level of satisfaction with improvement in the lips was evaluated at the first visit and at the follow-up visit using a 6-point scale from Extremely Satisfied to Very Dissatisfied. The rating of the natural look and feel of the lips was evaluated at the first visit and at the follow-up visit using a four-point scale from Extremely Natural to Not Natural. Aside from procedure-related adverse events (i.e. low reported bruising and swelling), no other adverse events were reported during the study.7
